DMCA and removal

Highford publishes listings from people and citations of public records. If a page uses your copyrighted work without permission, or a public-record listing should come down, email team@tryhighford.com. A person reads the note. Nothing is taken down by an automated rule.

Copyright notice

Include:

Your name and an email or phone number.
The work you own, and the URL of the listing or page.
A statement that you believe the use is not authorized.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or the owner’s agent.
Your physical or electronic signature.

Public records

Court, award, and filing listings cite the source they came from. A removal request for a public record should name the URL, say what is wrong or what should be withheld, and include a way to reach you. We can unpublish a listing. We do not control the government or court site the citation points to.

Counter notice

If your listing was removed after a copyright notice and you believe that was a mistake, email team@tryhighford.com with the URL, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district. We will forward it and may restore the listing after the waiting period the statute describes.

You can also use the report form for a listing that is inaccurate. That form is not a substitute for a signed copyright notice.
